Dorothy (Koorsen) Gitter, 93, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Fort Wayne, Ind., and lived in Venice, Fla., and Cedar Rapids for the past 38 years.
Survivors include her children, Carole Russo of North Carolina, Sandra Kemp of Cedar Rapids, David and Darryl Gitter of Fort Wayne and Dennis Gitter of Albuquerque; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to Manor Care and St. Luke's Hospice.
A memorial Mass will be May 1 at St. Peter's Church in Fort Wayne.
