Dorothy M. Fogel, 85, of Marion, a resident of Crestview Acres Care Center, died there Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, by Care Initiatives
Hospice Chaplain Jim Goodrich. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Ernest (Georgia) Foss Jr. of Mount Vernon, Edward (Diane) Foss Sr. of Cedar Rapids, Mona (Phil) Robley of Moorehead, Minn., and Joe (Teena) Foss of Armuchee, Ga.; her brother, Kenneth Adams of Albert Lea, Minn.; her daughter-in-law, Donna Adams of Huntley, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ernest Foss Sr. and Fritz Fogel; her son, Albert Adams; her siblings, Eleanor, Kathleen, Shirley and Carol; and great-grand-daughter, Rylee.
Dorothy was born June 5, 1929, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Schunamen) Adams. She was married to Ernest H. Foss Sr. and Fritz Fogel. She enjoyed bingo and embroidery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Crestview Acres and Care Initiatives Hospice for the loving care they gave to Dorothy.
