DOROTHY "DOZY" SEEMUTH

Dorothy "Dozy" Seemuth, 87, of Iowa City, died peacefully Friday, April 2, 2021, at Crestview Care Center in West Branch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, with Father Gary Beckman officiating. Family and friends may gather after 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Wenceslaus Church.

Dozy was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Iowa City, the daughter of Frank J. and Eugenia Mougin Klein. She was a graduate of Tiffin High School. Dozy was employed at the University of Iowa in data processing and later in property management. Prior to that she was employed at Iowa State Bank and Trust as a keypunch operator.
Dozy was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She was an avid Hawkeye fan. Going to all the football games with her sister, Phyllis, for years. Dozy was a favorite aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was a great cook and shared her loved of candy making with her nieces. Dozy's caramels will always be the best.
Dozy is survived by her siblings, Cletus Klein of Oxford, Phyllis Latta of Riverside and Jane Doyle of Davenport; her sister-in-law, Katherine Klein; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Carolyn (John)Moreland, Clayton Klein, Frank (Beverly) Klein Jr., and Victoria McNeal; brother-in-law, Don Latta and sister-in-law, Marcella Klein; and nephews, Tom Moreland, Jeff Latta and Gary Klein.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to caring staff at Crestview Care Center and Care Initiatives Hospice.
