Dorothy M. Chabal, 91, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington following a lengthy illness.
Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Jones & Eden Funeral Home with services conducted by Michael Zahs. Calling hours will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
Memorials have been established for First Christian Church or American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her son, William Edward Chabal, and wife, Karen, of Washington; son-in-law, Allen Miksch of Washington; four grandchildren, Louis Miksch and wife, Christina, and Molly Johnson and husband, Jason, both of Washington, Ryan Chabal of Mount Pleasant and Kathryn Chabal of Salt Lake City, Utah; four great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Mary Putman of Washington.
