Dorothy Brockhohn, 83, died Thursday evening, Dec. 17, 2015, at Mechanicsville Care Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello, with
interment in Wayne Zion Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. The Rev. Wade Reddy will officiate at the services.

Surviving are her sister, Betty Larkey, Mechanics-ville; and her brother, Wilbert (Betty) Wendt, Clarence.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lawrence.
Dorothy Ann Christina Wendt was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Clinton, County, Iowa, the daughter of Jurgen and Ann Nickelsen Wendt. Dorothy graduated from Lowden High School with the class of 1949. Dorothy married Lawrence Brockhohn on April 9, 1966, at St. John Evangelical and Reform Lutheran Church in Clarence.
The couple farmed on the Brockhohn Century Farm in Jones County near Monticello. Dorothy was a member of Wayne Zion Lutheran Church and was active on the Fall Festival Committee for many years.
