Dorothy Bragg, 79, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Clarence Care Center following an extended illness.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where friends may call after noon. The Rev. Barb Krueger will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.

Surviving are three children, Richard (Cindy) Bailey, Clarence, Debbie Barker, Minnesota, and Rick Bailey, Brooklyn; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Donna (Larry) Pickering, Vinton, and Ruth Ann Sickles and Elaine Wille, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ed Rich; and a grandson, Robbie Barker.
Dorothy Arlene Bragg was born Dec. 10, 1937, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Melvin and Alice Vahl Rich. She attended South Boulder School in Linn County and Central City Community Schools. She married Richard Bailey Sr., and they later divorced. Dorothy was a waitress most of her working years, working at Frank's Place in Springville and Malcomb Truck Stop. During those years she was married to Loren Bragg.
Dorothy enjoyed fishing, going mushroom hunting, gardening and riding her horses. She also loved her dog and cat.
