Doris May Wardenburg passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 89 years following a sudden illness.
Doris is survived by her sons, Larry (Barbara) Wardenburg of Williamsburg and Greg (Patricia) Wardenburg of Vinton; four grandchildren, Jeff (Ashley) Wardenburg of Marion, Heather (Kevin) O'Brien of Fort Dodge, Jillian Wardenburg of Clarinda and Derek (Haley) Wardenburg of Cedar Rapids; and two great- grandchildren, Jackson O'Brien and Brynlee Wardenburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; parents; and brother, Theodore Anderson.
Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
A memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church and LIS Scholarship Fund.
