Doris R. Newman, 88, of Coralville, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A gathering of family and friends will take place Sunday, Nov. 4, at Brown Deer Golf Course, 1900 Country Club Dr., Coralville. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. A celebration of Doris' life will start at
5:30 p.m. and will be followed by a Sunday evening gathering for food and drink featuring Manhattans (Doris' favorite drink). Interment will be for family only at the Clear Lake cemetery at noon Monday, Nov. 5.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Coralville Public Library or another charity of the donor's choice.
