Doris K. Steichen, 74, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, surrounded by family. A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born September 23, 1949, in Le Mars, Iowa to Arthur and Maryan Steichen. As the second oldest of ten children. Doris enjoyed spending time with her siblings. She roughhoused with her brothers and giggled with her sisters.
Doris had a green thumb and loved to care for her numerous house plants. She spent many days outside in the sunshine with her beloved dog, Patch. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be loved and eternally missed.
Doris is survived by her children, Cindy Lint (Cary), Carrie Lint, Carol (Nathan) Rath, and Matthew Lint; grandchildren, Russell Beltz, Cynthia Beltz, Levi Rath, and Toby Rath; siblings, Dennis, Gail, Roy, Mary, Sheri, Sam, Jeff, and John.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dale Steichen, and her daughter, Sarah Jane.
