Dora Jack, 85, of Victor, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Smith Funeral Home in Victor.
Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. Sunday, March 23, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be at Victor Memorial Cemetery following the service.
Memorials may be directed to the Dora Jack Memorial Fund and sent c/o Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 485, Victor, IA 52347.
Dora is survived by her children, Linda (Rocky) Wallace of Montezuma, Denny (Vivian) Jack of Pleasantville, Connie (Keith) Kempf of Victor, Bruce (Kim) Jack of Hartwick and Vicky (Dennis) Blum of Peosta; sis-ters, Viola Klink of Shellsburg and Maxine Leonard of Marshalltown; sisters-in-law, Judy Holst of Brooklyn and Clara Jack of Victor; brother-in-law, Stan (Sherri) Jack of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Jack in 1992; her parents; brothers, John and Mike Holst; sister, Zola Catron; grandson, Trent Cheney; infant granddaughter, Terri Cheney; and son-in-law, LeeRoy Cheney.
