Donnie Drehouse entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017. Private family services will take place at a later date. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.

To carry on his memory are his sisters, Vickie (Jim) Rutan and Bonnie (Wes) Helmick; nephews, Jesse (Erika) Miller, Ian Jarosh

and Roonie Rutan; niece, Jennifer Poli; and great-nephew, Julian Poli.

Donald Lee Drehouse was born April 19, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, to Donald and Helen (Martens) Drehouse. He worked for Rockwell Goss until its closing and, most recently, for St. Luke's Hospital until retiring in June after many years of dedicated service.

Though he was the youngest, his two sisters always looked up to him as their hero. He will be remembered as a respectful, honest and hard-working man. Donnie was a listener and a gentle man who looked for the goodness in all people. He was a true Christian with a pure heart. Donnie's passion was his music; he was a talented drummer and guitarist.

His other interests were photography, fishing and hunting, but especially Harley Davidsons he rode up to the end.

Donnie, you will be in our hearts daily and be remembered for your peaceful nature.

We ask that you go out and do a sincere act of kindness in his memory.
