Donnarae C. MacCann, 92, died peacefully Wednesday, March 19, 2024.
Donnarae was born October 24, 1931 in Pasadena, California, the daughter of John and Charlotte (Perky) Thompson. On June 28, 2001 Donnarae married Richard MacCann.
Donnarae received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California Berkeley and her master’s and PhD from the University of Iowa. She was a Professor at the University of Iowa in Library Science and Women Studies.
She was a lifetime member of the National Association of Librarians.
Survivors include her brothers, John Thompson of Oxnard, CA. and Roy (Kay) Thompson of Scottsdale, AZ; nephews and niece, Spencer (Debi) Thompson of Newbury Park, CA., Mark Thompson of Oxnard, CA., Melissa Thompson (Chris Nyquist) of Denver, CO., and Gregg (Nancy) Thompson of Corvallis, OR.
Donnarae was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
