Donna "Jean" Thomas, 93, of Marion, entered Heaven's gates Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, surrounded by family.
She was born Donna Jean Bolenbaugh on July 20, 1921, daughter of the late John and Clara Bolenbaugh of Vinton. She married the love of her life, Clair Thomas, on Dec. 9, 1942, in Danville, Ill.
She is survived by a son, John (Julli) of Marion; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia (John) Krabbenhoft of La Grange, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair; daughter, Susan; son-in-law, Jerry Williams; and granddaughter, Rebekah Williams.
She faithfully served her family as a wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered by many as a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Living Hope Wesleyan Church, 1500 Boyson Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A memorial fund has been established to the Living Hope Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
