Donna T. Green
Donna T. Green
Milwaukee, WI
Donna T. Green (Nee Konzen), age 76, peacefully departed this world on April 29, 2024, and joined her husband, Dave Green, in eternal rest. Donna was one of 7 children born to Elmer and Rita (Nee Hannah) Konzen of Marion, IA. Donna left her hometown at age 18, working for Collins Radio and trying out different cities across the U.S. before settling down on the East Side of Milwaukee, WI. Donna was a volunteer by nature and generously gave her time to Underground Switchboard, Holy Rosary parish, and Catholic East Elementary, among others over the years. She enjoyed her early career at the Milwaukee Journal, then worked among her beloved colleagues at Milwaukee Eye Care Associates for more than 25 years, retiring in 2014.
Donna enjoyed working on house projects side-by-side with Dave, spending summer days at their cottage in Montello, and taking long trips around the Great Lakes on the back of Dave's Harley Davidson. In later years, she lived vicariously through the life adventures of her children and grandchildren, all of whom she was very proud.
Donna is survived by her three daughters, Melanie (Jack) Roepke, Michele (Mark) Paprocki, and Melissa Green; granddaughters Clara, Eleanor, and Emmie; siblings, Roger (Sharron) Konzen, Jeanne Rowe, Diane (Red) Jensen, Elmo (Mela) Konzen, Kevin (Irene) Konzen, and John (Darla) Konzen.
Honoring her wishes, a celebration of life will take place at Parlor City Pub, Cedar Rapids, July 6, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome to join.
