Donna Sue Douglas, 72, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away on April 24, 2024. Born Donna Sue Hayes on March 21, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was known for her infectious smile that could brighten any room. Donna enjoyed leisurely walks, thrift store shopping with friends, and had a love for dragonflies, sunflowers, and petunias. Her greatest joy was talking about her beloved grandchildren: Logan Pflughaupt, Jaylea Miller, and Kinnick Miller.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Robyn Cox (Rick Cox) and Lindsey Miller (Thad Miller), her brothers Tim Hayes (Ronda Hayes) and Gary Thayer (Carol Thayer). She was preceded in death by her father, Don Hayes, mother, Dorothy Hayes, and husband, Jim Douglas.
A celebration of life for Donna Douglas will be held on September 22, 2024. Details for the service are yet to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice or Hall-Perrine Cancer Center.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
