Donna Smock, 76, of Ryan, died Monday, March 13, 2017. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, and one hour before services on Saturday. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Ryan.
Donna was born April 14, 1940, in Elkader, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Etta (Hansel) Starr. Donna married Robert Smock on July 14, 1956, at the Congregational Church in Edgewood.
Donna is survived by her children, Julie (Russ) Johnson of Lamont, Barb (Ed) Heathman of Ryan, Mike (Theresa) Smock of Strawberry Point and Jeanne Wenger of Ryan; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Reka (Glenn) Hansel, Bertha Starr, Louise Starr and Carol Starr; and many nieces and nephews.
