Donna Mae (McMullen) Silver, 71, a resident of Independence Assisted Living, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Remembrance: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at
Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin; son, Brett R. Babak; daughters, Theresa (Scott) Jones and Vanessa (Dave) Hitchcock; stepdaughter, Sheila Cobb; grandchildren, Lance Millard, Curtis Millard, Jacob Anger, Trey Jones, Tanner Jones, Hunter Hitchcock, Douglass (Sylvia) McMullen and Dick (Marion) McMullen; and five stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Grissom.
Donna was born April 20, 1943, in Central City, the daughter of Richard and Miriam (Munger) McMullen. She graduated from Central City High School in 1961 and worked for Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids. Donna was involved with some volunteering. She also liked to play bingo and enjoyed bird watching.
