Donna Mae Cowles, 83, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018.
Donna was born in Iowa City on June 26, 1935. She was married to Stanley Cowles April 10, 1955, in West Union. Donna lived in Cedar Rapids from 1966 to 1973, where she was employed by Life Investors Insurance Company. She was an Arizona resident for 45 years, where she worked as a personal banker for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; daughter, Kandis Barnum (Mark) of Waxhaw, N.C.; son, Lee Cowles (Catherine) of Gilbert, Ariz.; daughter, Marla Hostetler (Patrick) of Chandler, Ariz.; and daughter, Jodi Nunn (Simon) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, Ron Askelson (Phyllis) of Chandler, Ariz., and Ken Askelson (Martha) of Chandler, Ariz.; and 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by mother, Helen Askelson Barness; son, Kenis Wayne Cowles; and son, Mark Stanley Cowles.
Celebration of Life service, officiated by Harriet Askew, was held on Sunday, Dec. 2, in Chandler, Ariz.
