Donna Mae Boyle, 88, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids with the funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow the service at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Donna was born July 3, 1935, on the family farm near Fairfax, IA, the daughter of Emil Sr. and Isabelle Mae (Shenberger) Paulsen. She graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids. Donna was married to Earl “Red” Boyle. The couple later divorced. She enjoyed working at Sam’s Club for many years sharing food samples and smiles to countless customers. Donna loved crocheting, especially angels and coloring in her coloring books. Her life and love centered around her faith, family especially her grand and great-grandchildren, and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Shari) Boyle of Brighton, MI, John (Brenda) Boyle of Bradyville, IA, and Matt (Beth) Boyle of Homestead, IA; grandchildren, Josh and Priscilla Boyle, Jessica and Nolan Roberts, Dalton and Sydney Boyle, Katie Boyle, and Nicole Oranges; great-grandchildren, Ezra and Zoey Boyle, Maddux and Malachi Roberts, Clara Wendt, and Henri, Truitt, and Eleanor Boyle; as well as one on the way; and siblings, Martha (Ron) Petzel, Joyce (Jack) Havlicek, and Mary Lou (Owen) Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Earl “Red” Boyle; sisters, Marion Coppock, Delores Zobl; and infant brother, Emil Paulsen, Jr.
