Donna Lou Glenn, 93, of Clarence, formerly of Wyoming, Iowa, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the Clarence Nursing Home surrounded by love and care.
Her funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Additional visitation will be held from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin. Burial will follow at the Olin Cemetery.
Donna was born on February 21, 1932, in Cedar County, Iowa, to William and Luetta (Marks) McCrea. On June 24, 1950, she married Robert Glenn, in Stanwood, Iowa, and together they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and family.
For many years, Donna lovingly served as a cook and server at the Olin School. She took joy in nourishing the children and staff, not only with food but with her warm smile and gentle spirit. She gave of her time and talents to her community as a member of the Olin Ladies American Legion Auxiliary and also a member of the Olin United Methodist Church. Donna had a gift for making others feel special. She especially loved baking treats to share at the holidays and was well known for her delicious potato salad and her famous Special K bars. Her kitchen was often filled with the sweet smells of her cooking and the warmth of her generous heart.
Her greatest blessing in life was her family. Donna is survived by her children, Kathy (Steve) Barber of Oxford Junction, Richard (Jan) Glenn of Olin, Susan (Bart) Harms of Onslow, and Carissa Glenn of Marion. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Brock (Stacey), Danielle, Derek (McKenzie), Drew (Katie), Kayla (A.J.), Kolby (Allison), Dalton (Ericka), and Connor; several great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy Griffin and Gentry Barber, Jaxen and Brayden Glenn, Milo, Adler and Jude Schroeder, Willa and Cora Barber, Kennedy, Blakley, Jett and Parker Harms and her dear friends Brad (Lisa) Wherry and Holly Lane.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents; two brothers, Darrel and Richard McCrea; her beloved daughters, Christine and Barbara and a great grandson Keiven.
Donna’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
