Donna M. Landis, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at her daughter's home in Palo with family at her side. Private family services were held at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Inurnment took place in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Doug) Harris, Karen (Matt Kohn) Smalley, Carol (Jim) Murley, William (Jo Foreman) Landis, Robert Landis and Cheryl (Steve Weber) Landis; and siblings, Robert (Sue) Ferrie and Eileen (Gene) Dvorak.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and two brothers.
Donna M. Ferrie was born Aug. 2, 1939, in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Lester and Eleanor (VanDanAcker) Ferrie. On Nov. 15, 1958, she married Bill Landis in Stockton, Calif. Donna was a homemaker until her children were grown. She was then employed by the Waterloo school system and later at St. Luke's Hospital until retiring in 2004.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking cookies and her time with friends.
The family would like to especially thank Hospice of Mercy for their wonderful care given to Donna.
