Donna L. Dalecky, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Winslow House, Marion, Iowa. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids with the visitation to begin at 9 a.m. Graveside Service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Donna was born March 8, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Dolores Gainor. She graduated from Marion High School in 1974. Donna was united in marriage to Dennis F. Dalecky on December 12, 1980, in Cedar Rapids. She worked several years as a service shop clerk and supervisor at Altorfer before becoming disabled. Donna attended Stonebridge Church. She enjoyed making baby blankets, traveling with family, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching NASCAR and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Survivors include her daughter, Abbie (Roy) DeWitt of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Drew (Hannah), Alex, Gavin, and Levi; great-grandson, Tracey DeWitt; sisters, Penny (Brian) Cook of Atkins, Iowa, and Debbie Gates (Ray); brother-in-law, Gary Dalecky of Cedar Rapids; eight nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Dalecky; mother, Dolores Gainor; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Libby Dalecky; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Jerry James; and nephew, Matt Gates.
