Donna Kay Kluck, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
Donna was born Dec. 12, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Larry and Susana Wilson Griswold. As a young person, Donna and her family traveled to over two dozen different countries, accompanying her father who was an international entertainer. Her favorite countries were Australia, Denmark and Norway.
Donna married David Thomas Kluck on June 2, 1961, in Cedar Rapids. Tom died in 2012.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and provided daycare in her home for over 30 years.
Donna was an avid reader, who enjoyed sailing, competitive shooting, gardening and especially the time spent with her many friends and beloved family.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Christopher (Angie) Kluck of Wilmington, N.C., Elizabeth "Lisa" (James) Cashman of Cedar Rapids and Michelle (Nancy) Roberts of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Victor (Margaret) Griswold of New Port Richey, Fla.; a sister, Sandra Phillips of Denver, Colo.; grand-children, Stephanie Harrington of Raleigh, N.C., Tyler Harrington of Wilmington, N.C., Katie Sue (Jake) Kluck of Cedar Rapids and Luciano Tomas Vitale of San Francisco, Calif; and a brother-in-law, Brent Henderson of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; granddaughter, Susana; a sister, Mary Jane Griswold; and a special great-nephew, Gunnar Zaiser.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Deacon Michael Klappholz will officiate. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The family would like to thank Dr. Warren and the staff at the Oldorf Hospice House for the loving care given to Donna.
Memorial donations may be given to the Oldorf Hospice House or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
