Donna Rae Hospodarsky, 67, of Cedar Rapids, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Visitation: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; children, Bob (Dee) Hospodarsky Jr. of Toddville, Tracy Voorhees of Toddville and Michael (Mary) Hospodarsky of Marion; grandchildren, Austin Voorhees, Jamie Voorhees, Erin Usher, Daniel Usher and Cole Krewson; siblings, Phyllis (John) Ortgies of Redmond, Ore., Marlys (Rick) Caryl of Central City and Leora (Randy) Smith of Anamosa; sister-in-law, Nancy Hart of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Hart.
Donna was born March 6, 1949, in Anamosa, Iowa, daughter of Robert and Muriel (Warnock) Hart. She graduated from Central City High School in 1967. Bob and Donna were united in marriage on Sept. 8, 1979, at St. Mark's United Methodist in Cedar Rapids. She worked as a secretary at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, retiring after 47 years.
Donna enjoyed camping, reading, walking, cooking, listening to music and going to Red Hat outings. She loved her dogs, Abby and Lydia.
