Donna "Gibby" Burian, 79, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, in Iowa City. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Donna's lifetime of spreading joy and love will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Lensing Funeral Home (605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City), with a short sharing of tribute to follow at 1 p.m. Donna's remains will be interred at Oakland Cemetery.
Donna is survived by her sons, Mark (Dawn), Greg (Jen) and Phil (Dena); her brother, Michael (Deb); her grandchildren, Kelly (Brad), Chase, Dan, Nikki, Jon (Emilee), Nehemiah, Craig (Kristen), Jaime (Erik), Ali, Noah, Rihanna, Jamal, Jensen, Madeline and Kaden; her 10 great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Lee (Julie).
She was predeceased by her parents, Les and Blanche Lawrence; her husband, Paul; her daughter, Katherine Reichelt; and her beloved horse, Cody.
Instead of flowers, Gibby's family would appreciate contributions to Miracles in Motion (2049 120th St. NW, Swisher, IA 52338).
