Donna Feddern, 60, of Marion, passed away July 17, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Donna, the daughter of Edward Jr. and Kaye (Lambert) Feddern, was born Oct. 15, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She went to Marion High School, graduating with the Class of 1973. Upon graduation she attended Kirkwood and graduated with a legal secretary associate degree. Following college, she worked at St. Luke's in the purchasing department for 28 years. Following that, she worked 12 years as an application analyst with UnityPoint. She married Steve Strait and later divorced. They had two sons, Jared Strait and Derek Strait.
She enjoyed watching sports (especially the Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs) and spoiling her grandpuppy, Rocky.
Donna was known as a person with a wonderful smile and great sense of humor and a caring person who would help anyone in need.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and her ex-husband.
Those left to cherish Donna's memory are her sons; her mother; sisters, Deanna (Richard) Delp and Sheryl (Mike) Sanders; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She also is fondly remembered by the many friends she met through her work at St. Luke's Hospital and UnityPoint, as well as friends from Clearwater Beach, Fla.
A visitation will be Saturday, July 23, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. All are welcome to come celebrate Donna's life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
