Donna JoAnn (Frederick) Dauber, 71, of Stanwood, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 11, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics after a five-and one-half year long courageous battle with cancer. Per Donna's wishes, there will be no services. Donna would rather have you remember and honor her by having a Diet Pepsi, as this was her favorite drink. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Family asks that all cards and memorials be mailed to Fry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 30, Tipton, IA 52772. Donna, daughter of Melvin and Neva (Heick) Frederick, was born Friday, May 5, 1950. She attended Tipton High School and graduated with the Class of 1968. Donna worked for Linn County in the Clerk of the Court Office. She loved to shop and cook. She was always up for trying new recipes and her favorite color was red. Family remembers her as always being happy, and having a heart that was willing to help and do anything for those she loved. She also loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and grand dogs.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Sara (Adam) Sandberg of Mechanicsville, Iowa; son, Mike (Cari) Dauber of Mechanicsville; brother, Dale Frederick of Muscatine, Iowa; grandson, Jace Sandberg; granddaughter, Reese Sandberg; Auntie Jo and Uncle Eddie Dietz of Tipton, Iowa; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Neva.
