Donna J. Cromer, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Keystone Cedars. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, officiated by the Rev. Zachary W. Johnson of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entomb-ment will take place in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Donna was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Pender, Neb., to Carl and Martha (Stalling) Vollers. She was united in marriage to Lugene W. "Gene" Cromer on July 15, 1956. To this union, two children were born.
Donna worked as a secretary at Physicians Mutual from 1979 until her retirement in 1999.
She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed knitting, crafts, gardening and NASCAR.
Donna will be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her children, Kent (Kim) Cromer and Kara (Kelly) Leyse, both of Marion; granddaughter, Madalyn Leyse of Marion; stepgrand-children, Wayne Canterbury and Diane (Jason) Bible, both of Marion; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene, in 2013; brothers, John, Jordan, Carl Jr. and Dell Vollers; and sisters, Verna VanKley, Carol Harris and Joan Vollers.
A memorial has been established in Donna's name.
