Donna Coon 73, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Donna was born to William and Helen Grau on April 16, 1949, in Clinton, Iowa. She graduated from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1967. Donna was united in marriage to Donald Coon on Feb. 5, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. To this union, four children were born. She retired from Toyota Financial Services. Donna loved cross stitching, Hawkeyes football and playing board games. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, of 51 years, Donald Coon; four children, Eric (Candace), Nathan, Ryan (Rachael) and Sandra Dutton of the Cedar Rapids area; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters of Texas.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and one brother.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital for their tender care given to Donna.
