Donna L. Caryl, 86, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016. There will be no services. Burial will be in Lakeland, Fla.
Donna L. Caryl, born in Wright County, Mo., on Jan. 6, 1930, was the daughter of Paul and Verla Cravens. Donna and her husband, Bob, were married in Kansas City, Mo., in 1952, and had two children, Christine Jean of Concord, Calif., and Bruce Caryl of Scottsdale. They were blessed with four grandchildren.
Her husband and four brothers preceded her in death.
She retired from Perpetual Savings Bank in Cedar Rapids in 1992, where she was a new accounts representative. Donna also served as a deacon in the Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.
She moved to Lakeland, Fla., in July 1993, with her husband, Bob. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lakeland, Fla., where she was secretary of the Presbyterian women's organization for two years and served as circle chairman for several years. She also was active in the evangelism program.
She was a member of Imperial Lakes Country Club, where she hosted the weekly bridge club for 15 years. She enjoyed her bridge group very much.
Donna moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 2015 to be closer to her family.
