DONNA BELLACH

Donna Jean Bellach, 70, of Marion, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, in her home with her family, following
a brief battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 23, by Deacon John Malone at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Donna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tracey Bellach of Marion; grandsons, Kasey Bellach of Marion and Kody Bellach of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Shirley Hinz, who shared many hours of her time in the last few weeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eileen (Bill) Hoffman; and brother, Lyle Hurt.
Donna Jean was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Walter and Leona (Sievers) Hurt. She was a lifelong member of St Matthew's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.
Donna worked at Turner Microphone for many years until its closing and has since worked as a bookkeeper and most recently in child care.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, flowers and spending time with friends and family as she was everybody's favorite aunt and friend.
