DONNA ALLYN Manchester Donna Lee Jane Allyn, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Manchester, Iowa, died Friday, May 15, 2015, in her home. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, May 18, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at the funeral home. Burial: Allerton Cemetery, Allerton, Iowa. Survivors include her sons, Barry Allyn of Des Moines and Brad (Carmen) Allyn of Shellsburg; grandchildren, Jordan Allyn, Josiah (Whitney) Allyn, Zachary (Tawnia) Allyn and Sarah (Patrick) Mobley; and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Teagan, Lydia, Levi and Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James. Donna was born March 19, 1935, the daughter of Donald and Vivian (Bittorf) Duncan, in Allerton, Iowa. On June 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to James Allyn in Des Moines, Iowa. Donna graduated from Allerton High School and then went to Drake University where she received her degree in education with a minor in music. She taught school at Windsor Elementary in Des Moines, Earlville Elementary in Earlville and West Delaware in Manchester. Donna was a member of PEO, Red Hat Society, Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women's Club and former member and president of Nomad Shrine Club.
