Donald Michael Stewart, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died Sept. 1, 2015, at his home. A military service will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel.
Donald was born Dec. 23, 1951, the son of Harry and Dorothy (Herring) Stewart in Topeka, Kan. He worked as a machinist for many years, and was very skilled at what he did.
Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and in his spare time, he greatly enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his three daughters, Jessica Stewart, Shelly Stewart and Nicole Stewart; four grandchildren; father, Harry Stewart; brother, James (Christee) Stewart; sister, Jennifer Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
