DONALD JACKSON HARTMAN SHOUDY

Donald Jackson Hartman Shoudy, 51, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Shellsburg and Hazleton, died suddenly Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, of heart complications while at work.
Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Oakland Church of the Nazarene, 3000 42nd St. NE, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his children, Andrew (Crystal), Brenda, Cheryl and Dustin (Alison) Hartman, Marie James and William and Heidi Shoudy; his former wives, Deanna Christensen-Thompson and Terrecia James Shoudy; brothers, Dan (Wendy) Hartman and Kelly and Kerry (Erin) Shoudy; sisters, Dana Myers and Julie (Mike) McCormick; Bobbie ("Grandma Boo") Shaffer; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Shoudy; and grandfather, William Shaffer.
Donny was born Feb. 1, 1965, to Ford and Judy (Shaffer) Shoudy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A loyal Minnesota Vikings fan, Don attended Washington High School, graduating in 1983. He attended Kirkwood Community College to train as an EMT and was a volunteer firefighter. At his death, Don was working at Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
He enjoyed fishing, playing sports, watching movies and spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. All will miss his hardworking, talkative, enthusiastic love of life!
