Donald James Pogue, born Nov. 20, 1925, at home in Delaware, Iowa, passed away Oct. 1,
2014.
He was a longterm resident of Iowa City and worked for Bell/AT&T for 30 years.
He was a World War II veteran and enjoyed meeting one of his lifetime goals – seeing the War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and his daughter, Rose Ann.
Survivors include his wife and longtime friend, Anabel; his daughter Rose Ann's children, Donald (wife Wendy) and Valerie (husband Scott), and her grandchildren, Selena, Daniel, Levi and Cameron; his daughter, Pama-Lee, and her grown children, Matthew (wife Tracy), Mark (wife Fawn) and Kimberly (husband Matt), and her grandchildren, Jacob (wife Katey), Veronica, Bailey, Mikayla and Cole, and her great-grand-children, Alek and Jayce; his son, Gerry, and his grown sons, Brian (wife Denise), Jonathan (wife Nikki) and Joshua (wife Laura), and his grandchildren, Michelle, Joshua, Daniel, Elijah and Ethan; his son, Denni (wife Glynn), and their sons, James and Kemper; and and his daughter, Belinda (husband Dave), and their children, Miranda, Kelsey and Rigel.
Memorials may be sent in Donald's name to the Iowa City Hospice.
