“Donnie” passed away at his home in Cedar Rapids, IA after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
He is survived by his ex-wife Deonne Jensen and their three sons Chad Gatewood (Crystal Lane), Jason Gatewood (Jenny), Dustin Gatewood (Devin Scranton), and their daughter April Gatewood (Cory Gallagher). He is also survived by his best friend Samantha Gatewood, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
Donnie worked as an auto mechanic most of his life, at one point owning his own business, before moving on to a career in maintenance. He also loved electrical engineering, computer games, watching football, and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
