Donald H. Klingler, 82, of Delhi, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, with a visitation beginning at 2 p.m., at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Burial, with military honors, will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Donald H. Klingler was born Oct. 31, 1931, to Malcolm and Helen Summers Klingler in Central City, Iowa. He proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. Donald was united in marriage to Lois Miller on Aug. 26, 1956, at First United Methodist Church in Marion. She passed away in 2011. He retired in 1992 from Jerabek Distributing after working there for 30 years in sales.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking, going to the casino and spending time with friends at Lake Delhi. Donald was a member of the Lake Delhi Association board of directors.
He is survived by his children, Donald (Penny) Klingler of Le Claire and Kathy (Rod) Harris of Wabasha, Minn.; grandson, Donnie Klingler, and granddaughter, Peggy Klingler.
Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois; his parents; and two sisters, Sandy Sorenson and Laurine Bowels.
