DONALD KINCHNER

Donald Kinchner, 92, of East Moline, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2015, at Genesis Medical Center-Illini campus, Silvis, Ill. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services are 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, with military honors. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Don was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edmund and Elizabeth Souhroda Kinchner. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from International Harvester Works, East Moline, in 1976.
He enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching sports.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Robert.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, where he was a member.
