DONALD R. FLOERCHINGER
Cedar Rapids
Donald R. Floerchinger, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully the morning of Dec. 19, 2018, in Belle Plaine. Per Don's wishes, there will be no services. Please remember him in your own way and smile as you recall how he impacted your life. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation Service is
assisting the family.
Don is survived by his
wife of 30 years, Toni; his son, Donald "Corky" (Lisa); his grandson, James; daughters, Andrea Davidson, Robyn McMurrin, Kim Smith and Stephanie (Steve) Floerchinger; son, Robert (Stephanie) Willits; brother-in-law, Robert Jayne; and sister-in-law, Linda Board.
Don was a long-haul semi-tractor trailer owner operator for decades and a true Gentleman of the Road. He was the last of his breed. He served his country in the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War and was a proud member of the Atkins American Legion.
Don was my father and husband to my mother, Toni. He was a great man. I always looked up to him and appreciated how he made me into the man I am today. My father will always be loved and missed greatly. He was a wild child and I hope wherever he ends up, they are ready for him. May you rest in peace and without fear or pain.
My mom and I are grateful for the compassionate and wonderful care provided to Dad by the staff at Belle Plaine Specialty Care and Compassus Hospice.
Dad, as you always said when bidding farewell, Keep Your Powder Dry.
