Donald “Don” Harold Happel, 91, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Private burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Don is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice Happel; two children, Jeff (Janet) Happel, and Julie (Dan) Anderson-Kigin; four grandchildren, Amanda Happel, Lisa (Ira) Moffett, Christopher (Vanessa) Anderson, and Nicholas Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Jett Anderson, Wyatt Harkness, and Everleigh Moffett; sister, Susan (Roger) Ronsen; and brother, Steven (Syd) Happel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Richard and Robert Happel.
Memorials may be directed to Alburnett Methodist Church.
