Donald DeVerne Smith 67 passed away at St Luke's Hospital Cedar Rapids November 3, 2025 following a long illness. Survived daughter Jesse Mae, son Jacob Smith, sisters Susan Smith and Teresa Ponosh, brother Mattew (Barbara) Smith. Preceded by his parents Donald and Betty Smith, and brother James Smith.
Don was in Boy Scouts and attended Linn-Mar Community School District. He received training at Job Corps in Carpentry and traveled building homes in Arizona and California. Don enjoyed music and dancing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
