Donald DeVere Underwood, 92, of Marion, IA, passed away August 3, 2024.
Don was born in Springville, IA, March 19, 1932, son of Grover and Mary Underwood. He graduated from Springville High School in 1949. He was married to Vera Calvert on August 28, 1955. He was employed by the Milwaukee and Illinois Central Railroad for 35 years and a member of the Springville Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, children David (Lori), Diane (Michael), sister Roberta, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
