DONALD BRYAN SEEDORF
Cedar Rapids
Donald Bryan Seedorf, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, lost his valiant battle with cancer on Oct. 31, 2021. He passed in his home surrounded by loved ones. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is caring for Don and his family.
Born in Monticello, Iowa, to Clarence and Ruth (Lambert) Seedorf. Donald, known by many as Donny or Don, was an Army veteran before he ran his own service station in Marion, and later went on to work at National Oats (Ralston Foods) until he retired.
An avid Hawkeyes fan and true patriot, Don also loved spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, playing pool, racing and working on cars. He was diligent in everything he did and a man of conviction. He wanted to live life to the fullest until the very last moment. He is now pain free and at peace with God.
He is survived by his three children, Cory, Bryan and Amy (Munoz); four grandchildren; and five siblings.
He did "what he wanted, when he wanted" and so there will be no funeral, but a celebration of his life. "His farewell party," will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at the National Veterans' Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to UnityPoint Hospice via The St. Luke's Foundation at www.unitypoint.org/cedarrapids/services-foundation-donate-now.aspx.
Online condolences may be left for the family at www.broshchapel.com.
