Donald F. Andrle, 88, of Fairfax, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fairfax, by the Rev. Dustin Vu. Burial: St. Patrick Cemetery, Fairfax. Friends may gather Thursday after 9:30 a.m. at the church. Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is providing the services.
Donald is survived by his two lifelong friends, David Neuhaus and Curtis Selzer.
Donald was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Fairfax, the son of William and Kathryn Gramlich Andrle. He graduated from St. Patrick High School, Fairfax, in 1946. He was a retired employee of National Oats.
A special thank you to the parishioners of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fairfax, and the community of Fairfax, who always supported Donald with their friendship. He was always grateful for the kindness and care provided by the staff at Living Center East, where he lived the last seven years.
He will be missed by many.
Memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous or a charity of choice.
