Don Slauson, a resident of Elma, Wash., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at home, surrounded by his family. He was 81.
Don was born Feb. 10, 1933, in Hopkinton, Iowa, to Roy and Marion Slauson. He came from a large family of nine and was raised in Iowa, later moving to Washington. On Jan. 27, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Emerson.
He was preceded in death by his only son, Lon Slauson, lost to the Oso landslide.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; and three daughters, Lynn, Sandy and Debbie. Don loved his 10 grandkids and three great-grandkids.
He worked for Cement Masons Local 528.
There will be no service at his request.
