Don Reynolds, 66, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died of cancer Friday, Oct. 14, 2022. A visitation will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Don was born Sept. 12, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Magirl) Reynolds. He graduated from Regis High School, Class of 1974. Don worked for General Mills for 18 years before his retirement in 2018. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved golf, skiing and bicycling. Don enjoyed playing cards, especially poker.
Survivors include his partner of 23 years, Trish Eichhorn of Cedar Rapids; children, Tyler Reynolds of Cedar Rapids and Chad Reynolds of Texas; two grandchildren, Kaden and Kinsey Reynolds; sister, Deb (Devin) Emrich of Cedar Rapids; nephew, Bryce Cardis (Brylee Bastian) of Hiawatha, Iowa; and Trish’s daughters, Andrea (Justin) Roney of Illinois and Erica (Eric) Althaus of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Reynolds and Dorothy Carlson.
