Dolores Ruth Vesely, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at Mercy Iowa City. No public services are planned, private family graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tiffin.

Dolores was born in Wayland, Iowa, on Jan. 7, 1925. At the age of 7, her mother, Grace, died and she was adopted by Clifford and Pearl Reynolds of Tiffin. She attended Tiffin schools and graduated as valedictorian. She went on to Cornell College and became a teacher. On June 14, 1945, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth. They had three children and were married for 54 years.
Survivors include a son, Ted (Joyce) Vesely; two daughters, Linda (Joe) Corso and Kendra Vesely; three grandchildren, Jeff Corso, Tammy (Bryan) Miller and Kristina Bevans; five great-grandchildren, Cade Corso, Sade Miller and Monika, Zackary and Lauren Bevans; two sisters; a sister-in-law; and a brother-in-law.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, two brothers, a sister, three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
