Dolores Joanne Sinkey, 87, of Central City, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha surrounded by her family. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service
in Central City and one hour before the service at the church. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at First United Methodist

Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Zimmerman of Cedar Rapids, Geri Sinkey of Central City and Connie (Lonnie) Felderman of Robins; six grandchildren, Derek (Katy) Sinkey, Tiffany (Amos) Werderman, Amanda (Jim) Ellickson, Chrissy (Brenton) Smith and Tony and Nicole Felderman, all of Cedar Rapids; nine great-grandchildren, Mike, Nick, Caitlyn, Keeva, Dakota, Mireya, Nolan, Keelan and Jude; a great-great-grandson, Hayden; a sister, Nancy (Chuck) Martin of Martelle; a sister-in-law, Donna Albin of Central City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Dolores was born April 10, 1930, the daughter of Elvice and Iona (Hanson) Milburn in Marion. She graduated from Martelle High School in 1948. On Aug. 7, 1948, she married Darrell D. Sinkey at First United Methodist Church in Marion. He passed away Sept. 3, 2006. Dolores was employed at Rockwell Collins for many years.
She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Central City, DC Club, American Legion Wapsie Post Auxiliary No. 421 of Central City and past president of the Central City Historical Society.
Dolores loved the outdoors, especially fishing, bird watching and taking care of her flowers. She also was famous for her baking and cooking skills. However, her greatest love of all was her family and the time spent with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.
