Dolores Petska of Cedar Rapids passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at The Meth-Wick Community. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, by the Rev. Christopher Podhajsky. Inurnment will be at St. John's Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Petska; son, James (Bev) Petska; daughter, Juliana (Tom) Day; grandchildren, Brian (Julie) Day, Stephanie (Craig) Tucker and Jennifer Denice Day; and great-grandchildren, Bridget Denice Day and Nolan Tucker.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Denice Marie Petska.
Dolores Petska was born March 11, 1926, in Chelsea, Iowa, the daughter of James and Anna (Svoboda) Stadler. She married Leonard Petska on April 28, 1951, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.
Dolores was a member of St. Bridget's Circle at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and St. Ann's Circle at All Saints Catholic Church.
Dolores was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all.
