Dolores J. Gross, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died June 18, 2014. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at First Baptist Church/Church of the Brethren, 5200 Northland Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Polly J. McCarty, Rodney W. Gross and Robert J. Gross; grandson, Josh L. Gross; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil W. Gross.
Born and raised in Storm Lake, Iowa, Dolores married and moved to Cedar Rapids, where she raised her family and ran a family business with her husband.
Dolores will be remembered as an excellent student and bridge enthusiast, for her love of sharing new activities with her children, and her strength and courage to face life's challenges.
